Chemistry assumptions
Crocodile Chemistry makes the following assumptions:
- All liquids and powdered solids in a vessel are always completely mixed. No stirring is necessary.
- If a precipitate is formed in a vessel, the solid will settle out of solution.
- Gases are only simulated while they are in a vessel.
- Gases are dispersed instantly.
- Bubbles appear when a liquid is boiling, when a gas is being bubbled through a liquid or when a gas is formed in a reaction
in solution. The size and rate of production of the bubbles indicates the strength of the reaction.
- Heating a liquid brings it to boiling point faster than in real life. Once boiling starts, the rate of heat flow returns to
normal.
- Any chemical spilt disappears immediately.
- Gravity does not apply to parts within a scene but has an effect on chemicals within vessels.
